About Big Woods

Welcome to Big Woods Brewing Company, one of the Midwest’s newest and most unique microbreweries.  Founded by Tim O’Bryan, Ed Ryan and Jeff McCabe, Big Woods Brewing Company is located in the heart of Brown County, Indiana at 60 Molly’s Lane in Nashville.

Our Timberframe Brew House features a full service restaurant and bar, with five beer styles on tap and weekly food specials ranging from pan-seared Indiana duck to Chef Emily’s Yumbalaya Jumbalaya. Our staff will make you feel welcome!!!

Our mission is to make good beers in styles and flavors that appeal not only to craft beer aficionados, but to the average beer drinker as well. We think great beer should be accessible to everyone.

Located in southern Indiana, just one hour south of Indianapolis, Brown County & Nashville are surrounded by rolling hills and heavily wooded areas. These features have helped shape what is now the county’s character.

In 1907, drawn by the natural beauty of the county, T.C. Steele, a well known and educated artist, moved from Indianapolis and built a home and studio in southern Brown County. He encouraged other artists to join him, and soon Nashville was known as a gathering place for artists, becoming known as the “Art Colony of the Midwest.” Due to the popularity of the artists and the visitors they attracted, small shops, lodging facilities, and restaurants soon opened in Nashville, catering to a broader audience, as well as those seeking the solitude of the rural landscape. Brown County has everything it takes for fun outdoor recreation, unique gatherings, a girlfriends getaway, a romantic retreat, or any other event with family and friends.

Big Woods is a non smoking establishment open only to folks who are at least 21 years of age.
